What customers say?

“ I have been coming to this restaurant ever since I was a kid, and it has always held a special place in my heart. My go-to dish has always been the Hainan chicken rice. Although the price has increased significantly over the years, I would still return time and again for this delightful meal. The lunch set is a fantastic deal, as it comes with an appetizer, dessert, and drink, making it a complete dining experience. The chicken itself is incredibly tender, and I love that I can choose between white meat, dark meat, or a mix of both to suit my preferences. The rice is cooked to perfection, with a rich, fragrant flavor that complements the chicken beautifully. Each bite transports me back to my childhood, reminding me of family meals and comforting moments. What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is the soup. It has a warm, homey taste that feels like a hug in a bowl, enhancing the overall experience. The exceptional service is another reason I keep coming back. Staffs are always friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure that my meal is perfect. Even with the price increases, the quality and consistency of the food, along with the warm atmosphere, make every visit worthwhile. ”

“ the baked pork chop rice was topped with sweet, piping cherry tomatoes that exploded into a million stars in my mouth, tart and warm and caressing and tender the embrace of pork baked with patience and attention and love. The atmosphere is actually objectively five stars but I prefer sitting in cha chan tengs alone, so take my rating as a subjective plot twist. This dish will not heal your heartbreak but could be a soothing ointment to put on childhood wounds. It ain’t cheap but life is expensive ”

“ Nobody mention the breakfast so I will give it some credit here. This cafe is great for breakfast. We actually stayed at the next door hotel but chose to spend more to eat at this cafe. There’s convenient access via 11th floor. Many eastern and western options. Many fresh juice options. Noodle and congee are both good. My favorite was the crispy salted egg sesame ball. So so good it’s a must try. It’s rare to find a good salted egg bun let along a sesame ball version. ”

“ The Asian cuisine offerings at the Grand Buffet are generally more well-known and popular, with dishes like Hainan chicken rice, tempura, and the desserts being standouts. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Western menu items have also improved in quality. The grilled tomahawk steak was particularly impressive - it was worth the wait and queue, and tasted just as good as what you'd expect from the steakhouse upstairs. Additionally, the Spanish paella was great, with the rice perfectly absorbing the fresh ocean flavors. And as always, the meal ended on a high note with the delicious napoleon dessert. ”

“ It is pricey but the food quality is excellent. They have a very crispy truffle fries and a filling strawberey yakult drink. In addition, we ordered the mezze platter and the original crepe with syrup, fruits and ice cream. Was 750HKD for our late afternoon snack. ”

“ Food is pretty good with huge variety of both Chinese and Western dishes. You have to have a strategy when eating at a buffet - have a tiny taste of what looks good/be selective and go back for your favorites. Highlights include the carving table, seafood and the Asian dishes. Select cold seafood bar with essentials like crab legs, shrimp, mussels and lobster; limited sushi bar. Desserts were average. The restaurant is long and narrow to take advantage of windows to the outside so navigating is a little difficult. Great group rate! ”

“ A fine dining experience, probably one of the more expensive buffet in town. Reservation required. The serving rooms are divided into two areas, separated by a short flight of 6 steps. There is an elevator connection. I believe in the past, there were two separate restaurants, which have since been combined. The venue sport high ceilings, which are three stories up, there are full floor to ceiling windows and the ambiance is a reflection of the natural light cycle. ”

“ Breakfast at the Grand Cafe is a treat! The atmosphere is lively and vibrant, with a fantastic selection of dishes to suit all tastes. From classic eggs and bacon to more exotic options, there's something for everyone. The buffet spread is impressive, with plenty of fresh fruits, pastries, and hot dishes to enjoy. The staff are friendly and attentive, making sure that your glass is always full and your plate is always piled high. Whether you're staying at the Grand Hyatt or just visiting for breakfast, the Grand Cafe is a great spot to start your day. The prices are reasonable, and the quality of the food is excellent. Overall, I highly recommend the Grand Cafe for a delicious and lively breakfast experience in Hong Kong! ”
